Otematata Station is a well-established, progressive farming operation, with seven staff and a busy calendar. While shepherds do still make use of horses to get about the property, you are just as likely to see vehicles and a helicopter heading out into the hills.

These changes in transport mean the station’s well-maintained and beautifully-positioned 10-person huts are rarely required for day-to-day farming operations. So, they can now, instead, be enjoyed by visitors to the property.

Each hut can accommodate multiple parties at any one time, but if you are looking for a company-free hut experience, do let us know and we may be able to assist.
